In Can Spiritual Practices Help?
Not everyone accepts the need for a Higher Power/God for success in recovery, but for those who do, each one has had a unique experience in terms of how they connected--and stay connected--with something greater than themselves. What have been your experiences in establishing and maintaining a relationship with your Higher Power?

In Making Amends
Making amends to those who have been hurt by one's addiction is not only an expectation of most recovery programs, but is necessary for anyone who values relationships. There are unique challenges associated with making amends--Does the person want to hear from me? Will they forgive me? Will I be able to say the words? Will it make things worse? Will they take me seriously? Share your stories of making amends. What have you encountered, and how has it worked out?

In Social Transition in Recovery
--One of the biggest challenges people face in recovery is how to start a new social life that does not include drinking, drugging, or any other addictive behavior. Giving up old friends who are not in recovery is very difficult, and making new friends in the sober world can be just as hard. How have you dealt with this dilemma? What has been successful, and what has not?
