Friends and Family Healing Together
Addiction affects more than just the addict. Addiction is a disease that affects family members, friends and co-workers as well. These individuals need support even as they work to support the person in recovery. The best form of support is typically provided by those who have gone through, or are going through a similar challenge. With that in mind, our Friends and Family Healing Together meeting provides an opportunity to bring together people with the shared experience of loving someone suffering from substance use disorder. Together they can learn more about addiction, develop coping skills, share the best ways to set boundaries, learn when and how to say “enough is enough,” and to grieve the loss of someone who has succumbed to addiction.
Friends and Family Healing Together
THURSDAYS 7:15 - 8:15PM
We do not offer advice or counseling in our Friends and Family Healing Together meeting, neither do we make any judgments. Rather, participants listen, encourage, and share what has worked (or not) for their particular situation. The ultimate goal of the group is to support one another and provide an understanding and empathetic environment.
